Let's Say I Broke Into Your House

Let's say I break into your house!!!

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in
ages!!! It explains things better than all the baloney
you hear on TV.

Her point: Recently large demonstrations have taken
place across the country protesting the fact that
Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal
immigration.

Certain people are angry that the US might protect its
own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this
country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking
behind these protests. Let's say I break into your
house. Let's say that when you discover me in your
house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made
all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry
and swept the floors. I've done all the things you
don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except
for when I broke into your house.)

According to the protesters:
a. You are required to let me stay in your house.
b. You are required to add me to your family's
insurance plan.
c. You are required to educate my kids.
d. You are required to provide other benefits to me
and to my family (my husband will do all of your yard
work because he is also hard-working and honest,
except for that breaking in part.)

If you try to call the police or force me out, I shall
call my friends who will picket your house carrying
signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer
house than I do and I'm just trying to better myself.
I'm a hard-working an d honest person, except for well,
you know, I did break into your house.

And what a deal it is for me!!! I live in your house,
contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep
and there is nothing you can do about it without you
being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced
and bigoted behavior. Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to
learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so that you can communicate with
me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is? …..ONLY
IN AMERICA..... If you agree, pass it on (IN ENGLISH.)
Share it if you see the value of it.

If not blow it off......... along with your future
Social Security funds and a lot of other things.

Obama-nomics

As the late Adrian Rogers said, "you
cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." This man is truly a genius!

An economics professor at a local
college made a statement that he had never failed a single student
before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted
that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be
poor and no one would be rich, a great
equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in
this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone
would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A
After the first test, the grades were
averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset
and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test
rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and
the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they
studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the
average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and
name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for
the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and
the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail
because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but
when government takes all of the reward away, no one will try or want to
succeed.

OR

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many
others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other
liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more
government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative,
a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had
participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that
her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he
thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on
the rich and the need for more government programs.

The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the
truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she
was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let
him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a
very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no
time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have
time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because
she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes,
she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on
campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties
and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too
hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office
and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only
has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would
be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired
back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really
hard
for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey
has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my
tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the
conservative side of the fence."

Missouri Ahead of the Game in Dealing with Illegal Immigrants
Editor's Note: The following appeared in our May 13 issue and is written by State Representative Nita Jane Ayres.
Nita Jane Ayres has agreed to write a follow-up editorial which will appear in our print edition on June 24. The follow-up will take a close look at the state's legislation and how it deals with illegal immigrants.
We’re down to one week to go in the legislative session and bills are moving through the process at a remarkable pace. My goal is to keep you updated on all the pieces of legislation that may be of interest to you and your family. In the coming weeks, I hope to do that. However, this week I want to talk about an issue that Missouri has already addressed in a variety of ways – the issue of illegal immigration. I’m sure you’ve seen the headlines about Arizona ’s new law aimed at dealing with those who enter our country illegally. It has been called the strictest immigration law in generations. While Missouri hasn’t gone to the same lengths as Arizona , our state has made significant policy changes that effectively deal with illegal immigrants who enter our state. Because of those changes, Missouri is ahead of the game when compared to many other states that are now dealing with this issue.
In 2007, the Missouri General Assembly approved HJR 7 to place on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri . Voters then went to the polls and approved the measure with nearly 90 percent voting in favor. With that, English became the official language for all governmental proceedings in Missouri . It also means no individual has the right to demand government services in a language other than English. A common language is the cornerstone of a cohesive and united state and country. Ensuring that English is our official language is simply common sense.
Another measure that directly addresses the issue of illegal immigration was passed in 2008. HB 1549 requires our Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person is found to be here illegally. It also allows Missouri law enforcement officers to receive training to enforce federal immigration laws. Furthermore, the bill makes it clear that illegal immigrants will not have access to taxpayer benefits such as food stamps and health care through MO HealthNet. With the passage of this legislation, Missouri sent a clear message that illegal immigrants are not welcome in our state, and that they are certainly not welcome to receive public benefits at the cost of Missouri taxpayers.
2009 saw another significant piece of legislation passed dealing with illegal immigration. HB 390 ensures Missouri ’s public institutions of higher education do not award financial aid to individuals who are here illegally. The law also requires all postsecondary institutions of higher education to annually certify to the Missouri Department of Higher Education that they have not knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States . The bill represents another common sense approach to the issue as it ensures taxpayer dollars are not used to subsidize the education of someone who is in our country illegally.
So while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it’s important to remember Missouri has been proactive in addressing this growing problem. The laws we have on the books help ensure the rights and benefits of Missourians are preserved for actual Missouri citizens. It’s also important to remember that this country has always opened its arms to immigrants, which is why our nation is often referred to as the great melting pot. Immigrants from all parts of the world have helped make our country what it is today. However, our doors are not open to those who try to live in our country illegally. I believe Missouri ’s laws make that very clear and give our law enforcement officials the authority they need to deal with the problem.

That is right - I will say it, “THANK GOD FOR THE PRESIDENT.”

1. He destroyed the Clinton Political Machine - Driving a stake thru the heart of Hillary’s Presidential aspirations - something that no Republican was ever able to do. Remember when a Hillary Presidency scared the daylights out of you!

2. He killed off the Kennedy Dynasty - No more Kennedys trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home. American women and Freedom are safer tonight!

3. He is destroying the Democratic Party before our eyes! Dennis Moore had never lost a race - quit, Evan Bayh had never lost a race - quit, Byron Dorgan had never lost a race - quit, Harry Reid - soon to be GONE! These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed! By the end of 2010, dozens more will be gone. In December of 2008, the Democrats we re on the rise. In the last two election cycles, they had picked up 14 senate seats and 52 house seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party. In just one year, Obama put a stop to all of this and will probably give the House, if not the Senate, back to the Republicans.

4. He has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are. Every Generation seems to need to re-learn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. He is bringing home the lesson very well. Liberals tax, borrow and spend - check. Liberals won’t bring themselves to protect America - check. Liberals want to take over the economy - check. Liberals think they know what is best for everyone - check. Liberals aren’t happy till they are running YOUR life - check.

5. He has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan. In one year, he has rejuvenated the Conservative movement and brought out to the streets millions of Freedom Loving Americans. Name me one other time in your life that you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America !

6. His amazing leadership has sparked the greatest period of sales of firearms and ammunition this country has seen. Law abiding citizens have rallied and have provided a “stimulus” to the sporting goods field while other industries have failed, faded or moved off-shore.

7. In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I have been in my life. Not of the economy, but of the direction our country was going. I thought Americans had forgotten what this country was all about. My neighbors, friends and strangers proved to me that my lack of confidence of the Greatness and Wisdom of the American people was flat wrong.

8. When the American People wake up, no smooth talking teleprompter reader can fool them! Barack Obama woke up these Great Americans!

Again, I want to say, “Thank You Barack Obama!” This is exactly the kind of hope and change we desperately needed!

Jogging

I have nothing against jogging. It's actually good for you. It tones you up. It keeps the weight down. Good for your cardiovascular system. All in all it's a good thing. But, and this is a big butt(butt on purpose) Why the hell do they have to run in traffic. Across from my house there is a big park(Bloomingdale Park). It has a sidewalk surrouning it on three sides that runs parallel to the street. On the fourth side the sidewalk veers into the park a bit. The joggers feel the need to run in the street. Well, this street happens to be a service road for a highway in which cars zoom by doing 40-50 miles an hour. I am told that by running in the street it adds an extra 125 yards to your total. So the fuck what. All the jogging in the world ain't gonna do shit for you if a car rolls you over. It gives you an extra 125 yards? Stay on the sidewalk and do an extra 125 yards on the end. Come on people. This is not rocket science. No pain, no gain. Bullshit. When that car hits you, the pain you gain will not tone you up, get the weight down or help your cardiovascular system. No. It will fucking hurt.
There are people who circle the park every morning by walking. Walking is good for you. It gives you all the advantages of jogging, but at a lesser rate. These people, for some strange reason, do not feel the need to walk in traffic to gain the 125 yards. No, they probably can see the traffic and decide that they don't want to play there. Smart.

Happiness

Late nite TV

You would think that if you watch TV late enough each nite you will find a cure for everything. Get rich now! Eliminate all debt! Knives sharp enough to cut metal! The Rotato! You can be bigger! I can? Really? Yeah right. Now back to my favorite......Baldness can be eliminated. There has got to be at least a half dozen of the bald infomercials on every nite. The best being "spray on hair". This stuff is so real looking your girlfriend won't even know you have it on. If my girlfriend is dumb enough not to realize I've spray painted my head(I don't need to), then I don't need to spray paint my head, she's an idiot. Let's be honest. She has to be an idiot. Dating an idiot can be fun and at the same time....let's not go there.
The real problem with baldness is that it's caused by excessive testosterone. Now you got all this testosterone, but the women don't want you. Your bald. They want the guy with a full head of hair(Madison Ave tells us so) and probably low testosterone. What do you do? Go gay with another bald guy? That's an option if it floats your boat. I don't judge. Or. Find a woman who thinks bald is sexy. They are out there. I've seen it. I got friends who are bald and have done quite well for themselves with the fairer sex.
I my self have plenty of hair. If I started going bald in patches, there are guys out there and you know who you are, I would just shave my head. The guy with the crown and the comb over. ugh. Or the guy with a full head until he turns around, big round spot on the top. Or the guy with the crown and the tuft in the middle that he just combs back. They are out there.

Health Care

The Truth About the Health Care Bills - Michael Connelly, Ret. Constitutional Attorney

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of
2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.

To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.

The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.

However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.

The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own.

The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.

This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.

If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.

So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law It doesn't stop there though.

The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;

The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.

I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution." If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest theyconsult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Fishing

I like fishing. I really do. I find it very relaxing and in just a moment it becomes exiciting. But. And it's a big but, not fat chick on the bus big, but big. I HATE watching it on television. Maybe because I don't want to watch the other guy having a good time or relaxing when I can't. It's not the same as watching baseball, football or even NASCAR(which I don't) because they get paid to do something that 98% of the population can not do as well as them. I mean these fishing guys get paid too. They are "professionals"(pro fisherman?) I find it extremely dull to watch someone else do this. I actually do feel sorry for one guy. The guy who has to sit through hours of footage of some guys sitting in a boat waiting for a fish to strike. This schmo sits and watches 5 or 6 hours of somebody else fishing so that he can find the 20 minutes that might make up a half hour show(including the sponsor's ads). That's almost as bad as the guy who has to watch some redneck sitting in a tree hoping that a deer walks by, for 5 or 6 hours. I don't care if he's getting paid or not. If he doesn't come up with something that's reasonably interesting he's looking for a new job. Maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea. But unemployment sucks

Men are smarter than women

I think it's official. Men must be smarter than women. I know there are women out there that must think I'm crazy, my wife included. But, think about this. Women are always complaining about the toilet seat. Leave it down, leave it down, leave it down. Why? Because they might have to run in and go right away and if we leave it up they might fall in.
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'm going to let women in on a little secret. Don't try to stop me. Sometimes guys have to sit on the bowl too. But no matter how bad I have to go, I always check to make sure the seat is down. You see, I'm not dumb enough to fall in. I check first, and there have been times I'm lucky enough to get my pants off. But I still check first.
Or how bout this crap. "Something might fall in." OK. Something might. But I'm not leaving anything of value next to the bowl. Why would I? Can you name anything next to your bowl that's valuable? Why in God's name would you leave anything valuable in the bathroom. The most expensive thing in my bathroom is my electric razor, and I make sure that it's not hanging over the bowl. First of all it's ELECTRIC. Try and fish that out. Not happening. Second, again why is it there.
Or how about this one. The politness angle. It's polite for you to leave it down for her. OK. The selfish bitch wants me to leave it down. How about she leaves it up for me. Politely leave it up. Don't we as men deserve a little politeness directed towards us. I sure as hell think so.
Now, I know that some people don't agree with me. But I don't care. If I needed their opinion I would remove the duct tape.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a Maytag repairman. I know that doesn't sound like much, but do you remember the commercial? Guy sits around doing nothing all day and complaining about it. I thought to myself "why wouldn't someone like that, do nothing and get paid". That's the job for me. It wasn't till later that I found out that you actually have to fix something to get paid. There's no money in that. So, I got realistic in my endeavors. I wanted something with enjoyable work, good hours, good benefits and paid well. I decided to become a rock star. Money...tons of it. Work...it's music what's not to like. Hours...rock n roll all nite and party every day. Benefits...look at the arm candy. Can't sing. Can't play worth a shit. So, what do I do. I am now a proud member of the US Postal Service. Going postal...it's a good thing
